Who am I? What is this blog about?

Dear reader,

My name is Arnold Sanginga. I am Congolese, study at a High-school in Nairobi, Kenya and love to write.

The intention of this blog is to let people know of my writing and hopefully one day be recognised by someone with hope of taking me further into a writing career. I write on just about anything that comes to mind, mostly emotional poems, fictional stories based on issues that have occurred in Africa and opinions on African politics. Please do not be afraid to comment, as your comments will help me improve and encourage me.

Striving Strife

age
Education is no longer admired
People are no longer inspired
yet the power of knowledge
is essential for development
Must we first nourish our own
unreasonable and selfish desire?
Or should we be giving the generation to come
An impressive example of the correct use of knowledge?
Teachers,
Help me learn reason in the strikes
that defeats the purpose of evolving young lives.
Help me learn reason in the strikes
that you prevent your own blood from the drink of
knowledge.
Politicians,
Help me see reason in thy greed
when the poor work but starve empty handed
Help me see reason in thy greed
when you only cripple any chance of a heavenly future.
Tribes,
Help me see reason to join thee
in the murder of our own families
Help me see reason to join thee
welcoming; with full trust imposters and banishing our own.
I have had enough of this.
It is not possible for grown adults to act like mere
newborns, whereby your brother tells you to poison yourself
and you do so without thought.
Let us not cheat each other
Saying we are holy; we are not.
But I shall not complain for
my idiotic words will die in vain
However,
what is done in the dark,
shall come to light
Then shall you fear yourselves
But why must we wait to be exposed?
